The Lacey Act, along with IATA and FedEx regulations, requires that all packages containing live animals be properly labeled. This ensures safe, compliant shipping and helps prevent delays or refusals—especially in strict regions like Florida and California.
Required Information
Common Name: The common name of the species in the package.
Scientific Name: The scientific name of the species in the package.
Quantity: The number of animals in the package.
Labeling Guidelines
Place the required information on the exterior of the package.
It is highly recommended to include the same details inside the package as well.
Ensure the label does not cover any part of the FedEx shipping label—placing it on one side works best.
Secure the label with clear tape to protect it during transit.
